Schulenburg Should Behave Himself
The UN Secretary General’s representative here in Sierra Leone spent last Friday May 21st 2010 pacing up and down UNIPSIL’s Cabenda Hotel premises grumbling to anyone who wished to listen about those ‘bad’ journalists at Awareness Times who publicised "that little fisticuffs here" to the whole country. Apart from complaining to sources within the Government, the man even summoned the Opposition SLPP Leaders to express his distress over Awareness Times. Well, Mr. Schulenburg should know that neither the opposition SLPP nor the ruling APC Government has any sway or say at this medium. We’re an independent paper. Period! As we have told everyone who spoke to us on the issue, Mr. Schulenburg should learn to comport himself like a Diplomat. We suggest he go back and read a Letter he once wrote to Pino Arlacchi on December 4th 2000.

Sierra Leone's Awareness Times Publisher Never Collected a Single Penny for P.R. let alone Ten Million Leones monthly!
Hi Everyone, I have just been noticed about the malicious lies being disseminated that the Anti Corruption Commission has "evidence" that I used to embezzle Ten Million Leones of State Funds from Ministry of Fisheries every month. This is utter nonsense and has no credence to it. I will be formally asking the Anti Corruption Commission to issue a Statement on this issue, to clear my name, first thing Monday morning!

Hon. Justice Browne-Marke is surely a Honourable Judge in Sierra Leone!
Honourable Justice Nicholas Colin Browne-Marke of the Appeals Court of Sierra Leone is a honourable Judge so he will certainly make effort to distance himself from the erroneous allegations that have been levied purportedly on his behalf against the Honourable Chief Justice Umu Hawa Tejan Jalloh in a yesterday tabloid edition. Awareness Times Newspaper really hopes Hon. Browne-Marke will not allow us to set the records straight to the public. A word to the wise...

Tony Blair’s Mystery Thieves in Sierra Leone - A Rejoinder to Blair/State House!
...whilst the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative might be a registered charity in the United Kingdom, contrary to the implied statement on the Blair/State House Release, Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative was NOT the recipient of that Ten Billion Leones OPP50878 Grant from the Gates' Foundation. The almost ten billion leones cash was paid by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation into Tony Blair's private limited liability company named Windrush Ventures No.3 and which initial investigations by Awareness Times at the Companies House of the United Kingdom show to have entries as follows... One of the private bodyguards of a leading Sierra Leone newspaper publisher and civil rights activist has been discharged and set free by the Law Courts following some five months of him being remanded in custody for alleged ‘conspiracy to commit armed robbery’. Kalilu Jalloh was found not to have a case to answer and was released in the morning of yesterday Wednesday February 3rd 2010 by the presiding Magistrate. Until his release yesterday, he had been in prison from last October without any bail.
