If not for anything else, for the sake of all those who blindly believe anything I write (and they are many!), I will NOT sell my penmanship!  I owe my numerous admirers more than that!

So, please let the detractors of Hon. Haja Afsatu Kabba take due note that articles written by SYLVIA OLAYINKA BLYDEN are NOT for sale. Sylvia Blyden writes out of conviction! If I am not convinced, I do not write! And most times, my conviction comes after I would have done in-depth research into issues. In the case of Afsatu Kabba, contrary to what Oswald Hanciles writes, I am in possession of a tremendous amount of raw data which shows me that Afsatu Kabba is the heroine in this case.

So, insult me all you like but I will NOT abandon Afsatu Kabba’s side on this issue. Find another strategy to destroy Afsatu Kabba because the one of maligning Sylvia Blyden so as to browbeat her  away from defending Afsatu Kabba is not going to work. I am not leaving Afsatu Kabba to face this undeserved ordeal unsupported! I do not need a single cent to stand up for what is right.

This is not the first time I am associating myself publicly with maligned women. The case of how I fearlessly championed late Gloria Newman-Smart is etched out indelibly like on stone. Did anyone say I collected money then? How much will you guys want to say poor Manjia Balema-Samba of Kenema paid me? Why reduce this Afsatu issue to lies about me having been paid to defend her?

Anyway, now that I have said all the above, let me wish all my female compatriots a Happy International Women’s Day today! Sierra Leone has some of the most wonderful women in the world so let us all enjoy this special day today.
