1. The Government of Sierra Leone has received a loan from the African Development Bank in various currencies to finance the cost of Basic and Non-Formal Education and Vocational Skills Training. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the supply of Tools, Equipments and Toolkits for Vocational Skills Training Centres in Bo, Bombali, Kailahun, Kenema, Koinadugu, Kono, Moyamba and Tonkolili Districts.
2. The Project Coordinating Unit on behalf of the Ministry of Education Youth and Sports now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of Tools, Equipment and Toolkits: Vocational Skills Training Centres. (Lots 1-8)

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of Project Coordination Unit, Room FF13, Planning Directorate Building, Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, New England, Freetown. Tel. 033888393/076447649
4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Le 400,000.00
5. The provision in the instruction to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contracts is the provisions of the the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Goods July 2000.
6. Bids must be delivered at the office of the Project Director, Project Coordination Unit, Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, New England, Freetown, on or before 11:00 am on Monday February 22, 2010 and must be accompanied by a bid security of an amount indicated in the above table.
7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 11:00 GMT on Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Project Coordination Unit, Planning Directorate Building Conference Room, Ministry of Education Youth and Sports, New England, Freetown.
8. The Bid security shall be in the form of a Bank Draft, or a Bank Guarantee from a reputable Bank acceptable by the employer.
