In the world today, all stakeholders including governments, institutions, organizations and donors have focused on enhancing quality education. In most cases, educational institutions have always requested for better improvement in quality education and standards. Many educational institutions have staged strike actions and/or lobby with stakeholders to improve on their status by providing advanced facilities. Education is not enough until quality education is achieved. Many students have traveled to unknown destinations to build up their capacity in quality education. Government, stakeholders and individuals have always sent their students to faraway countries with advanced and standard education. The Governments of Sierra Leone and other stakeholders, including ECOWAS, the Chinese, British, American and the Arab States have always offered scholarships to Sierra Leonean students in order for them to gain quality education.

In this capacity, the most outstanding mobile telecommunication company, Zain has always contributed significantly in the provision of quality education for in areas of its operation. Most often, Zain gives learning and teaching materials to schools and colleges to enhance quality education. In Sierra Leone, for example, many deprived schools have in diverse ways benefited from Zain. Zain has constructed many classrooms for under privilege schools. Zain has always helped tertiary institutions in the country.

The Fourah Bah College and the Njala Universities are among those that have received advanced learning and teaching materials from Zain. The universities have received donated items including laptop computers, internet facilities, chairs and desks.

Over some years now, many universities in Africa have participated in a debate competition title the Zain Africa Challenge. This debate has made it possible for students to meet with colleagues of other Universities in Africa. The Zain Africa Challenge (ZAC) has improved the standards of many students as they dialogue with their colleagues.
